I am so glad you stumbled across my page! I am 27 years old and I currently live on Oahu, Hawaii. I am a mother to a very sassy 2.5 year old girl who consumes most of my attention when i'm not working. We love hanging at the park, going for walks, and our weekly after school ice cream dates. I am a huge fan of nachos, reality tv, and catching the sunrise.

You may be wondering where the business name Malia Mae Photo came from! Having a daughter changed my life in ways I didn;t know was possible. When I first started my business, I knew I wanted to name it after something that was meaningful so I decided to name it after my little girl!

I started photography shortly after becoming a mother. I was deep into PPD and thousands of miles away from all of my family and friends. I never thought of myself as artistic.. I mean I have a degree in physics- Artistic was truly the LAST word you could use to describe me! But when I first picked up that camera, I had so much fun. I felt so proud and confident for the first time in awhile. I knew I had found something that I loved.

We all have our insecurities but I promise- your significant other or kids don’t see them. Don’t let that hold you back from this experience. To ease the anxiety of getting a photo that you might not love, I let all of my clients pick out their final edits. This gives you full control over what images are included.
My job is to make you feel comfortable enough to relax. Focus on where you are and who you are here with- leave the rest up to me.
I know more than anyone how uncomfortable it can be to stand in front of the camera. I am here to make you forget about those feelings! From the moment you book with me, I am going to be there every step of the way to guide you. From location to outfits- ask me all of the questions!
